The product
Odobase Driver is the app drivers use to run their day in Odobase, our fleet management software. Dispatchers plan trips on the web dashboard. Drivers see them on their phone, run them, and send back the readings and receipts the office needs.
It is free for drivers and included with every Odobase plan, on the App Store and Google Play.
What we built
- The day's trips at a glance, grouped by date, with the vehicle, the passenger and a one-tap call button on every card.
- Trips that unlock on time. A trip opens when its two-hour start window begins, and a colour down the edge of each card shows which are ready, waiting or past.
- Odometer at every step. Start, pause, resume and complete a trip with a reading each time, so distance is never guessed.
- Expenses logged on the spot: fuel, tolls and parking recorded against the trip, with a photo of the receipt.
- Round trips as one trip, paused at the turnaround and picked up again, with a live timer one tap away from anywhere in the app.
- Maintenance jobs assigned through the same list and closed out with a photo of the invoice.
- Trip alerts by push notification when a trip or job is assigned or cancelled, in the driver's own language.
- Live tracking without hardware. The phone records a GPS point roughly every 30 seconds while a trip is running.
Trips, mileage and expenses for professional drivers.
Built for drivers first
The app uses large touch targets and carries meaning through colour and icons rather than paragraphs. It fully supports English, Urdu and Arabic, including right-to-left layouts.
There is no sign-up screen. The office adds a driver by phone number, and the driver signs in with that number and a 4-digit PIN.
Private by design
Location is recorded only while a trip is running, and recording stops when the trip is completed. There are no ads and no tracking between trips.
